The City Institute, originally known as 'The Town Club' and first established as a Tennis Club, traces its roots back to 1924. Founded by a close-knit group of friends in a modest tiled-roof house, the club began as a leisure hub for lawn tennis and card games. Over time, it grew into a distinguished gathering place, attracting members from diverse walks of life—including business, trade, education, professional services, and government.
